Aiming for indirect promotion through small business meal-kit menus

Room 409, SME Ministry, Sejong. It looks like an ordinary meeting room, but inside, early-2000s Korean ballads play and a street pojcha is fully recreated — policies, not drinks, are served at the ministry's 'Money Pojcha.'
'Money Pojcha' is a new in-house studio for policy promo videos, named from the wordplay between 'money' (funding) and 'what is this policy?'
Videos will focus on major monthly policy issues, with digital communications officer Yoo In-seok explaining policies over food in a casual talk format.
Officer Yoo, who led this "startup," said the pojcha concept leverages the charm of the space to translate policy jargon into everyday language.
Food content's popularity on new media also helped — visually engaging and easy to edit into short-form promos.
Officer Yoo noted popular SNS clips often feature food scenes and said food content was chosen to make complex policy accessible.

Food is central — the menu features unique items like 'Global Unicorn Salad' and 'Startup Korea Braised Dish' named after SME Ministry policies.
Today's menu showcases specialty foods from small businesses and traditional markets, including Baengnyeon Store meal-kit dishes.

The ministry has used new media before — from 2021 vlogs to 'Soulless Chair' and 'Policy Money' talktoon videos praised as fresh and fun.
'Policy Money' talktoon segments were presented as best-practice government communication at spokesperson meetings.
When not filming, the studio will serve as a communication and break space for ministry staff.
Officer Yoo said good policies lose impact if citizens don't know them and plans more digital communication using the "money" concept.
